Orangeburgh District, South Carolina Land Records
Margaret G. Waters, Genealogist
If you have ancestors from Orangeburgh District, South Carolina, you’ve come to the right place. I do a lot of research with land records for the area. As part of that work I also study all of the families who lived in or owned land in the district between its earliest settlement in the 1700s through 1868 when it became Orangeburg County. Orangeburgh District was created in 1768 and included areas that later became Barnwell and Lexington Districts.
